NextGen E-Sports Gaming (NESG) is an independent grassroots esports organization building a structured, inclusive and sustainable competitive gaming ecosystem across India.

We believe every gamer should have a meaningful opportunity to compete, improve and earn recognition, regardless of where they come from or which game they play. NESG is being built to connect gamers, gaming cafes, communities, brands, educational institutions, publishers and tournament organizers through a more organized approach to competitive gaming in India.

Why NESG Exists

India has a large and highly engaged gaming audience, but the grassroots competitive gaming layer remains fragmented. Many players have the skill and ambition to compete, yet lack a clear pathway from local competition to city, state and national-level opportunities. Gaming cafes often operate independently, while brands looking to connect with gaming communities can find it difficult to access authentic, repeatable grassroots activations.

NESG is being built to address that gap.

Our goal is to create a structured environment where local gaming communities can participate in organized competitions, where emerging players can become more visible, and where gaming cafes and partners can become active parts of a larger esports ecosystem.

 

From Local Competition to the National Stage

At the heart of NESG is a four-stage esports tournament pathway designed to connect grassroots competition with higher-level opportunities:

01. Partner Cafe Qualifiers

Official NESG Partner Cafes host local tournaments where players and teams can compete within their communities. Entry is designed to be open, brackets are public, and matches are administered under standardized tournament processes.

02. City Championships

Qualifying teams from partner cafes progress into city-level competition, creating a stronger regional stage for local talent.

03. State Championships

The strongest city teams compete for state-level recognition and qualification toward the national championship, with streamed matches forming part of the planned experience.

04. National Championship

The planned national stage will bring qualifying teams from across India together to compete for the NextGen E-Sports Gaming title, prize opportunities and national recognition.

We see competitive gaming as a sport, a community and a platform for talent development. Our long-term direction includes expanding across multiple esports titles while developing initiatives around college esports, creators, player development and talent scouting.

The objective is not simply to run individual gaming tournaments. It is to develop a sustainable ecosystem in which gamers can compete, communities can grow and opportunities can become more accessible.

 

Where NESG Is Going

NESG’s roadmap is being developed in four broad phases.

Foundation

Launch the initial city pilot, onboard founding Partner Cafes, establish the tournament rulebook and format, build the social and Discord community, and run the first cafe qualifier series.

Expansion

Expand the Partner Cafe network, introduce City Championships, develop the state circuit and build relationships with founding brand partners.

National

Develop multi-state qualification, offline national finals, larger broadcast production and title sponsorship opportunities.

Ecosystem

Expand into additional esports titles, college competition, creator programs, player development and scouting.

NESG’s vision depends on collaboration.

We aim to work with gaming cafes, brands, publishers, colleges, creators, tournament stakeholders and gaming communities to create opportunities across the competitive gaming journey.

For brands, this can include social media visibility, live-stream branding, gaming cafe activations, creator collaborations, college and community activations, product sampling and purpose-built tournament segments.

For gaming cafes, the planned ecosystem provides a way to participate in recurring competition, build local gaming communities and become recognized Partner Cafes within the NESG circuit.
